Armando Figueroa’s musical roots date back to his youth, when as a 10-year-old East L.A. resident, he traded in his dancing shoes for a guitar. A trained folklórico dancer, Armando joined a Cinco de Mayo grade school choir and passionately strummed his first nylon-string acoustic guitar. He has never stopped playing since that fateful gig.
From Spanish, Top 40, Rock en español to rumba-flamenco and Latin-influenced ensembles, Armando’s talent, skill and versatility are undeniable. Armando plays Candela and Delgado Guitars. His recent guitar was built by Manuel Delgado of Delgado Guitars “A family tradition since 1928.”
