Internationally acclaimed vocalist, Jasmine Tommaso, is a talented performer that sings from her heart.
She has come a long way from home and is blossoming into the fullness of her gifts as both a singer and a songwriter. Her diaphanous voice adapts to each song, revealing its depths and heights, its meaning and mystery. Simply put, Jasmine delivers–vocally, viscerally.
Her first studies in music took place in Rome (Italy), where she soon began performing with her father, world renowned bassist, Giovanni Tommaso.
She furthered her interest in music and received a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music’s Summer program in Boston. Jasmine also holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from The University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Diploma in Vocal Performance from the Los Angeles College of Music.
In returning to Italy she performs live at many important festivals and in acclaimed venues accompanied by Italy’s very best jazz musicians such as Danilo Rea, Amedeo Tommasi, Rita Marcotulli, Anthony Pinciotti, Bebo Ferra, Daniele Scannapieco, Marco Valeri, and Claudio Filippini.
Since her recent move back to California, Jasmine has released her debut album “Listening Party”, a jazzy/acoustic record of sparkling freshness filled with true emotion. Here she delivers world famous covers with a new twist, and delights us with her own original tunes. John Kay of Steppenwolf says, “Very Peggy Lee”.
She has since performed on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, and has made quite an impact on the Los Angeles music scene.
